June 24th, 1947 - 22 miles west-southwest of Mount Rainier at approximately 9200 feet, private pilot Kenneth Arnold witnessed 9, bright, silvery unknown flying objects traveling at unprecedented super-sonic speeds. He described them flying like, “a saucer being skipped across the water”.

The press quickly coined the phrase flying saucer and the modern UFO era was born. For the first time in history, Kenneth Arnolds family reveals startling details of this case and Mr. Arnolds ongoing relationship (including photos and letters) with the USAF to determine the origin of those objects – they remain unknown to this day.
